Chandipur Beach:


Located in close proximity to Balasore city, it is a unique beach dotted with casurina trees.The water of the sea recedes in the morning & touches the shore again in the eve.Nice picnic spot for visitors and a small fishing harbour adds to its popularity.A must visit for those who go to Balasore.

Air : The nearest air port for visiting the places of interest in Balasore district is at Bhubaneswar which is connected with Kolkata, Delhi, Hydrabad, Raipur, Nagpur and Mumbai by bording flights.

Remunaremuna:


Famous for Khirochora  Gopinath temple Remuna has been a seat of Vaishnawite Culture for centuries, Madhabendra Puri the teacher of Shri Chaitanya and Shri Chaitanya himself visited Remuna and offered their worship to Khirochora Gopinath
Today hundreds of devetees gather daily for the sacred Darshan lof the Lord.Specially prepared milk is the most delicious prasad of the temple.Remuna is a chunk of Vrindaban In Orissa.

Panchalingeswar :



Situated on a hillock near Nilagiri, Panchalingeswar is a place with beautiful surroundings and serves as a picnic spot for the visitors. The five lingams known as Panchalingeswar with the perennial spring flowing over them are the added attraction of this place. The Panthasala at Panchalingeswar (Tel (06782) 273005 whose reservation authority is Tourist Officer, Balasore, provides accommodation for the visitors.
This place is a bit far from chadipur.It will take 1.5 to 2 hrs to reach there.The place is xcellent surrounded by hills.I was spellbound after reaching panchalingeshwar.THe temple is nice.U have to reach there by stepping 600 stairs.Dont forget to see nilagiri hills and Kulidha wildlife santuary.U can stay at panthanivas panchalingeswar its priceworty.

Rabina:


Raibania is known for its group of forts in raign ,Raibania had historic importance and finds mention in the book Ain I Akbari. The fort having a number of tanks, which was  once the place for royal people is now a plain field littered with archeological rains. The Jaychandiban or the lovely forest of Joychandi is now used as picnic spot.

Chandaneswar and Talsari:


The holy shrine of Lord Chandaneswar is a religious centre not only for the people pf Balasore District but also places adjacent West Bengal.It is a unique sight to see the devtees flock together in hundreds everyday and in thousands on festive occasion like Chadak mela for Darshan of the Lord which falls in April every weak.

Road:It is connected with a good motorable road from Balasore  ( 93 Kms.) and Digha ( 6 Kms.)

On the confluence of the rivers Vaitarani and Brahmani where they meet the sea, Dhamra naturally has a special appeal for the tourists. It is 40 km from Chandbali, approachable by boat and motor launch and 160 km from Balasore.

Sri Sri Harisankar Devasthana Balangir




Sri Sri Harisankar Devasthana, in india, is on the slopes of the beautiful Gandhamardhan hills, Orissa. It is popular for its scenes of nature and connection to two Hindu lords, Vishnu and Shiva. As a holy place, along with a beautiful stream passing on the granite bed, it has given some visitors a feeling of peace. On the opposite of side of the Gandhamardhan hills is the temple of Nrusinghanath. The plateau between the two temples has been found to have ancient Buddhist ruins, which are considered to be remnants of the ancient Parimalgiri University.



How to get there: Balangir is 327 km from Bhubaneswar and has direct road connections to major towns of the State. It is also a railhead on the S.E. Railway
